Join Gaina from Barleybird to find out how through our Introduction to Agroecology courses hosted by e5 Bakehouse in Hackney, London and two beautiful farms, Maple Farm & Fellows Farm in Suffolk, who are demonstrating that a better food system is possible.
Each course runs over 2 evening sessions and 1 full day, and are delivered through presentations, interactive activities, discussions, group tasks and farm tours.
On this course you will
Learn how your food is grown, both within horticulture & agriculture in the UK, with a focus on bread and cereal crops
Find out the difference between permaculture, organic, biodynamic, regenerative & agroecology
Gain a better understanding of local & global food & farming systems to complement & strengthen your work or business
Visit 2 beautiful farms in East Anglia that are growing diverse, climate resilient & nutritious food, including grains for baking and cooking
COST - £375.00 includes all 3 sessions, minibus transport to/from Suffolk, a delicious local lunch on the farm and refreshments
